How long have you been in business?
I started my personal chef and catering service in 2007.
What is your primary product or service?
I have two lines of business, my personal chef service, and my party and event catering service. Both services are designed for convenience. I take care of all the details, you enjoy the free time and compliments you will receive.
My personal chef service provides healthy, tailored meal plans prepared in your home. I typically prepare a week's menu of delicious entrees and matching sides customized to your likes and health needs. I package your meals for fresh, convenient storage in your refrigator. You pick the meals you like during the week and warm using the instructions I provide. Enjoy healthy, gourmet cuisine without the hassle of heading out to a restaurant.
For parties and special events, I provide a unique, custom experience that your guests will rave about. Try multi-course gourmet meals for 8-12 people served by the chef. For larger events, I provide buffet and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Everything is customized to your wishes.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I spent many years as a registered nurse, helping people with their health needs. But my passion has always been for cooking and great food. So, when the opportunity arose, I attended culinary school here in Dallas at the Art Institute and embarked on my second career as a professional personal chef. Coming from New Orleans, great tasting cuisine has always been in my blood. I love serving my clients as their personal chef. I get to use my medical skills and culinary training to create fantastic, healthy cuisine every week.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
There are three attributes that set me apart from other personal chefs and small caterers in the area:
First, I am a classically-trained professional chef with experience in the restaurant and food service industry. My training and experience allow me to provide an elevated level of service, efficiency, and quality to my clients.
My medical background gives me a clear understanding of how food affects the body. I use this knowledge to customize meals for my clients with specific health and dietary needs.
Lastly, in keeping with my theme of ultimate convenience, I charge a flat rate for all of my plans and catering events. There are no hourly charges or food receipts to deal with. I take care of everything. You sit back and enjoy.
What type of payments do you accept?
I accept cash or checks.
Which areas do you service?
I serve the entire Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. Outside of a 25 mile radius from Flower Mound, there may be an added charge for travel.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I own my business and run the daily operations with my husband and daughter.
What are your hours of operation?
On typical cookdates, I will be in and out of my clients' homes between 9 AM and 1 PM. As your personal chef, I will always work my schedule around yours.
