For more than thirty-eight years, Roughton Galleries, Inc has been dedicated to dealing in the finest nineteenth and twentieth-century American and European paintings. The gallery is distinguished for its scholarship and actively supports research in both American and European art. In addition, we are currently working on the forthcoming catalogue raisonné on the works of French academic painter Leon Bazile Perrault.

What is your primary product or service?
Roughton Galleries sell important 19th abd 20th century American and European paintings. The gallery offers Free evaluations along with certified appraisals as a member of IFAA (International Fine Art Appraisers.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Raised in Santa Fe, NM, Brian Roughton developed a passion for art. After serving in the Marine Corps, he went to work for John Newbern, who wanted to open galleries in Dallas, Fort Worth, Oklahome City and Nashvile. Over the course of time, Brian closed all but Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington. In 1974 the Dallas Gallery, which Brian managed burned. With the help of Dallas banker, Fred Brooks, he open his own gallery in Turtle Creek Village. The gallery remained in this location for 15 years. The gallery would move to the corner of Faimount and Wolf where it would remain for 15 years. Brian and his wife Kayla would buy the historic building built and dsigned by Foushee & Cheek in 1931, where the building remains to this date.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are the only gallery in Dallas that specializes and with internationall respected expertise in museum quality American and European paintings. We are also the only certified member of IFAA ( Intenational Fine Art appraisers Associaion.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently on one location at 2505 Welborn, whith no furture plans to expand.
